Relationship Means Love

Relationship Means Love

Have you ever heard someone say “I love you” to yourself or someone else? There are many definitions for a four letter word that could mean so much to a person like you and me. In today’s society, many people think that because someone is paying attention to them, or adoring their beauty characteristics for a period of time, that’s love. Another thought of the word “love” could define a parent and a child relationship. How many parents would be willing to do anything for their child, or children, just to see that one smile on their face? In the world, many people have mistaken the word “love” and throw it around, like any other word.

Have you ever experienced a true love? A love that you can’t describe or can't explain with any word? A love that will bring you peace, joy, and allows you to forget about what is going on; the chaos all around, maybe in your family, at school, or in relationships?

This love that I am talking about, you can never find it in the world, and no human can hold this amount of love for you. You may try to find something to satisfy you for a moment when you crave “love” like drugs, alcohol, and abusive relationships; because you feel a little hole that is in your heart. You feel like you don't matter and you are a mistake. Let me tell you something: YOU ARE NOT A MISTAKE! There is Someone Who loves you so much that They are willing to put everything on the line; just to see that one smile. God is love.

In 1 John 4:8 it states,” Whoever does not love does not know God because God is love.”

God is the only One Who would send His own Son to die on the cross for you and me. He loves us so much that He knew us before we were born, He even knows what's going on right now.

In John 3:16 it says, “For God so LOVED the world He sent His only begotten Son, that whoever shall believe in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.”

Now tell me, who in the world would be willing to give up their own life because they “love” you? Honestly for me, I think no one would, except for Jesus Christ. The only Person Who actually sacrificed Himself so you and I have the same advantage of God’s love.

If you’ve ever felt a little tug, just a little one, and you seem not to understand . . . well, friend - that is God . . . .
