Hormones and Holiness

If you can conquer this one, you can probably conquer anything!

THE GIANT OF SEXUAL PURITY

You’re vulnerable. Why are we vulnerable?

Loneliness . . . broken family . . . daddy deficit . . . broken fences (previous experience) . . . porn poisoning.

and not have his clothes catch on fire?

Can he walk on hot coals
and not blister his feet?

Why be captivated, my son, by an immoral woman,
or fondle the breasts of a promiscuous woman?

For the lord sees clearly what a man does,
examining every path he takes.

Hormones have no brain.  Hormones cause blindness.
We become blind to the cost.

It’s a big deal – for you.  To God.

God’s will is for you to be holy, so stay away from all sexual sin.

Then each of you will control his own body and live in holiness and honor―

Then she cried out, “Samson! The Philistines have come to capture you!”
When he woke up, he thought, “I will do as before and shake myself free.” But he didn’t realize the lord had left him.

So the Philistines captured him and gouged out his eyes. They took him to Gaza, where he was bound with bronze chains and forced to grind grain in the prison.

But before long, his hair began to grow back.

Control your body.
Don't get to the point where the engine starts, cause we know its hard to stop.

The Creator of your man-ness, your woman-ness tells us how to beat the powerful giant of passion.
